Real4Reg Final Symposium

Real4Reg is a consortium of nine European institutions which is aiming to promote the use of real-world data (RWD, e.g. national healthcare registers and claims data) to support decisions about medicines. Real4Reg is taking advantage of ground-breaking technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). The structure and approach of the project aims to facilitate the implementation of the effective use of RWD in regulatory and health technology assessment (HTA) decision-making.

The findings are informing training activities on good practice examples and will be implemented in existing and emerging guidelines across Europe. Therefore, Real4Reg is contributing to promoting and protecting human health and well-being and supporting the transformation of healthcare systems in their efforts towards equitable access to innovative, sustainable, and effective medicines and health care.

On 3-4 November 2026, INFARMED I.P. will host the Real4Reg Final Symposium in Lisbon (Portugal) and online. In this event, the project’s results, lessons learnt and insights on how RWD can strengthen regulatory and HTA decision-making will be discussed.
